This clock is made of ancient heart pine from wooden timbers and a unique patinaed copper clock face. There is no stain on the wood, only a protective lacquer finish.

The green oval is a unique dark patina with very small copper specks showing through. This came about quite by accident but I love the result. I left the freshly patined copper in the sun to dry and forgot about it. Rain drops from an unexpected storm left miniature copper spots on the face.
Another aspect that was unplanned is the vertical greenish stripe on the right hand side. This is natural and complements the green face very nicely.
